Friday...arriving in Florida...the Palms Hotel and Villa Kissimmee.

I found the hippo that I saw on my drive home from San Diego CA a couple Spring Breaks ago! On the way home in 06 I was driving my 2nd night with no sleep in the middle of Kansas and had delusion of a hippo coming down from the sky onto the road laying on a shopping cart! I stopped at reststop after that! We saw this hippo in Cave City, KY. when we stopped to eat.

We headed out from home at 1:15PM on Thursday....1244 miles later and at 1045Am Friday we were at the Palms Hotel and Villa in Kissimmee, FL. Mindy drove a little from about 4AM to 5Am in GA. We tried to make it over to Typhoon Lagoon. I unloaded our wet luggage that was on the rack carrier on the back of the Tahoe, and set out for the water park, but I was so tired I kept missing the road it was on. I was called some names doing a U turn on 192 trying to find the place! I finally found it about 1:00pm only to find it was closed due to capacity. I felt like Clark Griswold in National Lampoon Vacation at Wally World! So we went back to the hotel and swam.

One of our favorite rides....Twilight Zone Tower of Terror.

In the elevator of Tower of Terror....Rena's looking a little pale! This ride take you up 13 stories in a old haunted hotel with Rod Serling talking to you and the whole Twilight Zone thing going on. Then at the top the doors open and you drop like 7 stories then up and down several times.

Disney animation studio was fun we learned how to draw a sad Tigger.

The start of Aerosmith Rock n Roller Coaster goes 0-60 MPH in 3 second! Then right into a loop. This is a really cool ride!

Here comes the rain...thought we would try and wait it out.

After 45 minutes of waiting...we decided to buy these expensive ponchos!!

The day started off nice, then about mid-afternoon is began to pour rain. This lasted the rest of the day. It wasn't too bad though, we bought some rain ponchos, and since most the people left we were able to walk on any ride we wanted.
